My Nana is a woman of dignity.
She has class... she knows what it means to be a woman.
She demands respect without saying a word.
She is very intelligent and has a sense of humor,
that actually takes some intelligence to understand.
My Nana was always there for me when I was growing up.
I remember when she made stuffed cherry tomatoes.
She is in some of my fondest memories.
The plants in her house live forever,
and she always has beautiful gardens.
She loves birds.
She isn't fond of reptiles, she is a woman of sophistication.
She collects rooster decor and pineapples of every kind.
She is beautiful in every way.
She was recently diagnosed
with one of the worst diseases known to man.
It continues to painfully eat away her physical body,
yet she refuses to let this disease eat away at her character.
It brings tears to my eyes thinking of the cruelty
she has to withstand.
Yet she is still a woman of dignity and integrity.
She continues to smile when she has the strength.
She is still just as beautiful
as she has always been.
She understands the value of each day,
and never gives up.
I need to do the same, you have made me realize this.
Nana, I love you.
My Nana crossed over on February 10th...
...to her new home with brighter skies,
more colorful flowers- and her heavenly Father
that is now holding her painless body in His arms.
... and Nana, I can't wait to meet you there.
